Once, NLP was set to be around 24 days, and the time didn’t change much until 1995 or so when Bandler with Mckenna and Breen decided that 7 day would be enough using the so called unconscious installation patterns.
Now, there is much debate if its possible, I once noticed Bo Sjoberg a really bad NLP fool of trainer question if it was doable and as I did my first NLP training back in 1999, the guy I had with me an old school NLP trainer who stated after the first day they students already displayed, the competence of an NLP practitioner, obviously, it was a huge surprise that I was able to teach such, skills in such a short time.
But I don’t mind days, I can teach faster, easier than most NLP trainers alive including names as Bandler and Grinder.
The issue of believing it is doable is more in question in online debtaes, is it possible to teach it in 7 days or even shorter timeframes?
Yes, no question from me.
But I have done it, I got experience to prove it for me.
What is more important, I can teach something much more powerful than NLP in a day that allows them to do better jobs than a 7 day NLP Practitioner and again, I got experience for that.
Most who teach NLP sucks at it.
Now, what constitute a NLP practitioner?
What are the evidence based behavioral clues we can assume to the standard of criteria being met of an NLP educated Practitioner?
If you notice, Bandlers use of unconscious patterns, leaves a lot of nuances of so called conscious use, its assume the educated practitioner should be able to use their skills unconsciously…and that seldom is the case.
I been in the same room as several top trainers including John La Valle who missed important so called unconscious information but at least to the degree, John was at least able to note he did and gave the task away for someone to do it.
If it was true, the so called unconscious teachings would work as advertized, then those people wouldn’t have missed it when the information was given.
So I was teaching and one student suddenly asks me, how did you know how to do that with him?
She noted, I just gave a different instruction for one student, and as I did that I matched his understanding formats, she noted and asked me, and I told her, 2 hours ago, he said this sentence, and as he did say that sentence, it was built like this in order and structure, which did mean, to him the information had to be presented like this or he wouldn’t have got it, and as I told her that, I demonstrated that pattern with him.
Now to do the above one must be able to understand how patterns forms, and how they fit within current contextual structures for the individual, and that require a lot of skills.
So, the time teaching isn’t important, what is important is that the student understand, distinctions.
Now, I trow one student out, had to call the police for him to leave, and he went and got a trainer certificate from John Grinder and yes one of the co-developers of NLP and he was the student who wouldn’t listen to me?
He ganged up with a coward, and then run NLP trainings which I seriously would never send anyone to ever.
That is more of an issue, that NLP is taught, really badly, and then how to make sure the quality is uphold when even Bandler fails to teach in any proper way to explain what he is doing so this could be referenced in any timescale that make sense in so called time binding.
Its a concept that knowledge, is passed on down the road where the information, later can be understood by someone else.
Now, Bandler is afraid they steal NLP from him, he sued the NLP community claiming they had done that, and obviously, as I asked about that sentence the judge made, the answer I got, read the judge sentence that not all NLP is in the hands of the bandler group but he wouldn’t specify what exactly Bandlers NLP was consisting of.
I had to make up my own mind about juridical writings not in my own native language.
Figure as much, bandler had no case regarding any NLP as his own at all, as there is no evidence as such would exist out there.
If Bandlers NLP is installed unconsciously, without you knowing what it is, hey sounds like a scam to me.
The famous snake oil salesperson ad.
But I am digressing here, what about criteria of being an NLP practitioner?
Let me know when people can define what those are, evidence based and I write something up on that. None exist to my knowledge today.
Now here is the official criteria of NLP certification from www.purenlp.com
Quote”
1.Behavioral integration of the basic presuppositions of NLP:
The ability to change the process by which we experience reality is more often valuable than changing the content of our experience of reality.
The meaning of your communication is the response you get.
All distinctions human beings are able to make concerning our environment and our behavior can be usefully represented through the visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory, and gustatory senses.
The resources an individual needs to effect a change are already within them.
The map is not the territory.
The positive worth of the individual is held constant, while the value and appropriateness of the internal and/or external behavior is questioned.
There is a positive intention motivating every behavior; and a context in which every behavior has value.
Feedback vs. Failure – All results and behaviors are achievements, whether they are desired results for a given task/context or not.
2.Rapport Establishment & Maintenance
3.Verbal & Nonverbal Pacing & Leading
4.Verbal and Nonverbal Elicitation of Responses
5.Calibrating through Sensory Experience
6.Representational Systems (Sensory Predicates and Accessing Cues)
7.Milton Model, Meta Model
8.Elicitation of Well-Formed Goals, Direction, and Present State
9.Overlapping and Translating Representational Systems
10.Eliciting, Installing & Utilizing Anchors in all sensory systems
11.Ability To Shift Consciousness
12.Submodalities (utilizing including Timelines, Belief Change, Swish Patterns, etc.)
13.Omni Directional Chunking
14.Accessing and Building Resources
15.Content & Context Reframing
16.Creating & Utilizing Metaphors
17.Strategy Detection, Elicitation, Utilization, And Installation
18.Demonstration of Flexibility of Behavior and Attitude

The above is basically a map out of rapport skills, calibration skills and anchoring skills.
Presented within that ability to minimum present those skills, now ask anyone who went trough a NLP practitioner certificate training with bandler and ask them, about each question above, and let them explain each concept to you and I mean, explain the understanding of the concept to you.
Like, what is omni directional chunking?
Or what is the ability to shift consciousness?
[sleep?]
Now as I went trough with the NLP Trainers training what was taught was a presentation format to how to use NLP to teach NLP within the format of stage presence.
Now, there was no explanations only behavioral elicited states of consciousness, labeled into different contextual format.
That was all that was taught.
No explanations, nada.
So students asked me about NLP and I said, well cant tell you anything basically because the assholes teaching it wouldn’t tell me anything about when I was learning NLP.
I get students and also people I coach from the world, and they tell me, no fucking unconscious metaphorical shit from you.
They are fed up with that shit from bandler and the likes.
So, what would I teach then, and how would I make sure they students got it?
I make sure, they get the behaviors, and repeating those behaviors in a format, until they had it down in their behavior, and then I would make sure they got the distinction down when they use each behavioral skill and they would be able to tell you, this is what I do.
First, I ask the client this, what they want, then I lead them to the future experience where this is true, if the client hesitate, become afraid, I handle that by making sure they understand, they don’t need to change anything about themselves or themselves if they have their wanted future experience.
Now, that process has steps, and each step can be broken down to start and finish.
Any objections wont be needed to re-frame, or to shift as we affirm their needs by making sure they understand, no change is needed to make to current experience.
As this overall pattern is taught, each step contain basic set of instructions, there is no need for unconscious installations formats.
They take to long.
The individual knows, if I do this step first, and then this, and I cant continue until the first step is done, then they have a road-map and an easy to navigate instruction and the beauty of this is, they know what to do each step, with little to no training.
The behaviors people have are predictable, each behavior is predicted by its own laws, its due how we maintain and contain experience, memories and most importantly, our reality.
The above could be taught by e-mails, to Louis, and he got the format.
He also asked, if he could watch me work, which wouldn’t have helped as he asked about, his own way to know this is this and not that.
So he got a free eduction, worth more than any NLP training in the world, and I haven’t received much questions about that at all.
As Homer Simpson would have said, woohoo, duh!!
When we change how something is taught, we change the way its done and organized, and this then become an issue of beliefs and what people assume to be true as many cant get it, its not doable or possible to teach in 7 days, and that is true, if the teachings contain the same information.
Now, if you once did a pattern and it take 1 hour as the phobia cure, and then we could cut it down to 30min to then add even more time as Paul Mckenna did in his TV shows, he used NLP for treating phobia and since he sucks at NLP he used hypnosis and patterns of energy to alter the phobia, clumsy work.
It took an hour or more?
Whats up with that?
Isnt that a step backwards and since Mckenna spent like what 10+ years with bandler, surely he should have got it down ?
Now, anything we do, we assume time and how effective something is, if we do it faster its more effective, right?
If we cut down the pattern to do it until the fewest steps are there, then we have optimize the current pattern until its as efficient and elegant it can be, so why did Mckenna suddenly add time to do this and why also, did he use hypnosis and energy drills from NHR?
He don’t know how to do proper elicitation and collect the proper information and basically, he has to guess to do his job, or else he would have stuck with one process, done that and stranded with the client free of phobia.
Now, if I had trained Paul Mckenna, he wouldn’t need to guess but then I guess the unconscious format of installation didn’t do a good job with Mr mckenna then?
So, lets break this down and make it simple,
one, people want a new future experience.
Two, they cant have it for two reasons, one they don’t know how its like having the experience even if they would want it or they know how its like but have beliefs that limits them to have it.
Now, the above is essentially all you need to know about people working with them.
If they for example had a bad traumatic experience, wont matter as your not interested in that, you only want them to answer the question, what its like having their wanted future experience.
I worked with a guy from Ireland at the NHR filmed 3 day event, and as he displayed what he had an issue with, I just wanted to know what he wanted to have, and I made a guesswork, that worked within 5 minutes. Now, that is how good I am, working with someone, who basically told me he believed in black magic.
Beliefs, is what people debate in the 7 day format, I would debate, what is the main criteria of an NLP Practitioner, how would one know and then, is this the way we teach it, and is this the distinction they need to know or not?
When we move and work with reality, its much easier to do great work as this transforms the individual from the moment.
No need for clever language patterns, clever hypnotic messages, clever elicitation and anchoring and such, its a blunt head on approach.
So, the client knows, what they going trough, and can feel the difference, measure it and then becoming the experience they want?
I had dyslexic kids, going from struggling to people thinking they cheated in school due to the improvement they had with me.
I teach kids improve and I also can teach people work with them so they can replicate my results.
My results with clients, is something I can teach, so you could do as good as Bandler, Grinder, la Valle in any area of expertize, sports, business, therapy, law etc…you name it.
Human beings expect things to be in a specific way, and if you know how that is figured and structured doesn’t matter, as every human interaction follows the same structure taught in RBIm.
